Before ploughing into the world of practical learning , we appreciate that you might want to know what you’re letting yourself in for.
To that end, we’ve put together a very short version of our full courses so that you can get a bit of a taste of what our programmes are like, the quality of the resources that you’d be getting, and you can give our approach a bit of a test run in your own classroom.
This short course introduces students to what enterprise is all about, giving them the chance to trade characteristics to build up their “dream enterpriser” then focuses on how to sell ideas effectively. Pitching a selection of initially uninspiring items challenges students to be creative and really think about the benefits of what they’re offering. Finally, working in teams students have to put together a convincing pitch and plan a re-launch promotion for their allocated product up against the judges.
The course is designed to take four hours, and can be completed in one day, over four different lessons, or in four after-school sessions. It’s an ideal way to ensure your students benefit from work-related learning, enterprise education, and by following our guidance on adapting it to your subject area it might even re-engage them for the rest of term too!
